CCD STEERING COMMITTEE Meeting - Minutes
November 16, 2003

The meeting was held at Bruce Tarnopolski's home at 7:00 p.m. on November 16, 2003.

CCD Steering Committee members present:Rob Harper, Lalah Manly, Harriette Liske, Bruce Tarnopolski, and Ann Whitley.
Guests: Susan Davis, Barb Kirchner, Julie Howell, Kevin Liske, Bill Porter, Scott Russell, Janet Shepherd, Doug Singleton, Seth Tepfer and Christin Whittington.

OLD BUSINESS

Toy night: Toys will be collected on December 5th and will be donated to Our House. Christin will coordinate with Our House.

Announcements:
Ann Whitley, Doug Singleton and Doug Oster are working up a set of waltzes to be played live at the breaks. There will be no charge to CCD for this wonderful service.

Janet Shepherd has been asked to call at the St. Louis weekend in July.

Barb Kirchner has been asked to call at "When In Doubt, Swing" in Dallas, TX.

NEW BUSINESS

Caller Evaluation Process: Rob Harper walked the group through a draft document defining a process by which callers move onto the regular rotation with CCD. The group discussed in depth the importance of having this structure in place, what the criteria are for becoming a regular rotation caller, and what the process should be (who evaluates, who decides?). National level and/or experienced callers moving to Atlanta will also be asked to complete the application process. Continuing assessment for callers currently on the rotation will be discussed later. Time frame for implementation: Rob will integrate changes and suggestions from the meeting, the document will be ratified at the December steering committee meeting, and hopefully will go into practice in January 2004.

Next meeting:
The next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, December 14 at 7 p.m. Ann Whitley volunteered her home for this meeting.
